hello all,
yep - the moment you've all been waiting for. i can see the smiles on your
cheery little faces already - happy in the knowledge that LukeSanderClaus
has once again chosen to add you to his festive greeting list.
im actually in somewhat of a better mood this year, well - i've managed to
escape most festivity so far but will be writing a letter of complaint to
one of my local taverns which i won't name (the swan mansbridge) about their
putting up of decorations BEFORE MID OCTOBER... sickening.
so yesterday i popped into town to look for some last minute gifts...
*gasp!*
you may wonder why i put myself through this trauma if i despise christmas
so much... the answer is, im teaching people that xmas really is a big twisted
joke and im determined to get the last laugh by buying them 'what was left'.
its amazing what you can(t) find in the days leading up to the big washout, it
brings a warm feeling to my heart imagining them opening their already ripped
and torn package only to discover the 99pence orange cassette-tape rack complete
with broken slots for their obsolete tapes. *aaahhhh, sigh - excellent*
now while im on the subject of pressies, something else has come to mind which
i feel i must say seeing as I'VE GOT THE MICROPHONE!!!
someone said to me "but surely you like getting the presents?"... well NO, i
dont. for 3 reasons:
1) it was a last minute thing someone thought they'd better do (i dont have
any cassette tapes!!)
2) useless friends - i hate be asked what i want - i mean, WHATS THE POINT?!
why then wrap it, i know what it is! if you know me well enough - you know what
i'd like!!! thats the magic isnt it?
3) it meant i probably had to go out and buy you something
so why dont we all do ourselves a favour? dont buy anyone anything, save the
money and go and buy what we really want for ourselves - sorted.
